George Wright’s obituary

WHITAKERS - George Arthur Wright, 67, died Saturday, November 9, 2013. George was born in Wake County on August 6, 1946 to the late Norman George Wright and Dorothy Rich Wright.

He graduated from Enloe High School and East Carolina University. George worked at Dorothea Dix where he did job placement for young adults.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2013 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens, Raleigh. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.

He is survived by his daughter: Kelley W. Hawley and husband, Wayne Hawley of Wake Forest; grandchildren: Kristy Tate, Amanda Tate and Marshal Hawley; and a host of special friends.
