Maureen A. Mierzejewski, 55, Shillington, died during the early morning hours of Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, of natural causes in Reading Hospital. Maureen was the wife of John J. Mierzejewski. Born in Reading, Maureen was a daughter of John P. and Florence A. (Albrecht) Burasz, Reading.
Maureen was a 1972 graduate of Holy Name High School.
She was employed at the former Maier’s Bakery, Reading, for 10 years. In addition to her husband and parents, Maureen is survived by her son, Joshua A. Smith, San Diego, Calif.; and her daughter, Hope A. Genova, Mohnton. She is also survived by her five loving grandchildren and her sister, Michelle A. Swartz, Birdsboro. Relatives and friends may extend their sympathy and respects to the Mierzejewski family in St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 501 Summit Avenue (Millmont), Reading, PA 19611 on Tuesday, Feb. 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua RC Church at 1 p.m. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Mierzejewski may be made to St. Anthony of Padua RC Church at the above address. Kopicki-Bradley Funeral Home Inc., Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
