Leslie W. Spencer, 54, passed away August 25, 2013 at his Birdsboro residence. Born in Reading, he was a son of Joseph A. and Carlita T. (Tolentino) Spencer of Birdsboro. He was a 1974 graduate of Holy Name High School and a graduate of Reading Area Community College. He was employed as a technician for AT&T, Lucent Technologies, and Agere. Leslie enjoyed being around family, adored his sons, had a passion for technology and taking photos and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church and an Army veteran, serving in the military police at the Berlin Gate. He is also survived by two sons: Kellan O. Spencer and Jarred Spencer, both of New Hope; a brother, Joseph T. Spencer of California; and a sister, Lorena E. Spencer, in Reading. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the Resurrection of Gethsemane Cemetery. Burial will follow.
