Robert Brennan - Class Of 1970

Robert Terrance Brennan, 62, died October 17, 2014, in his Cumru Township residence.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Thomas Robert and Mary Louise (Foley) Brennan.

He was a graduate of Holy Name High School in 1970 and St. Francis College in 1974, where he earned a BS in Accounting.

Terry began his professional career at Coopers & Lybrand, working as a CPA and supervisor. He went on to become the CFO & Director of Finance for Merit Concrete and then served in the same capacity at URAC, last working in September of 2012.

He was a member of St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, Plowville. Terry was a member of State Championship Basketball Team in 1970 where he was captain and voted MVP by teammates. He was first team all city, first team all Philadelphia Suburban Catholic League and first team all state in 1970. He was the only Division 1 basketball player in Holy Name High School history and a member of the Berks Basketball Hall of Fame.

He was a devoted father.

Terry is survived by his daughter, Molly Rebecca Brennan, Westminster, MD; his brother, John William, husband of Delilah Brennan, Mechanicsburg; his sister, Anne Bridget, wife of James Martin, Sinking Spring. He was predeceased by his sister, Colleen M. Brennan who died July 27, 2000.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale, PA 19605; with burial to follow.
