Obituary
Deborah Harding Lavelle, who claimed to be "older than dirt", passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, at her home. A gathering to celebrate her life will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 18, at Santa Rosa Park.
Deborah was born in Eureka, Calif., May 12 to Ted and Judith Harding. She graduated from Red Bluff High School, then attended the Sacramento College of Medical Technology. Deborah has lived in San Luis Obispo County since 1970 and with her son Paul, started Lavelle Day Care in January 1983. Since that time, she has influenced numerous families in her community and is respected for her desire to positively affect children.
Deborah lived by the philosophy ... 100 years from now ... it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in or the kind of car I drove. But ... the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.
Donations may be made to an account in her name at Washington Mutual, 445 Madonna Rd., San Luis Obispo CA 93405.
