GEORGE THOMAS WILLIAMS, 27
A sculptor and painter, died on 20 March 2007 at Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital in Richmond. He lived in Reston, VA. Born in Washington, DC in 1979, George had an international upbringing living with his family in Paraguay, Ivory Coast, and South Korea. He spent part of his early childhood in Key West, FL.
George graduated from South Lakes High School in Reston in 1998 and from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2004 with a degree in Fine Arts. His works have been exhibited and sold in Reston and Richmond.
In addition to his many friends, George is survived by his mother Sarah Coleman of Stuart, FL; his father Christopher Williams and stepmother Dian Williams of Reston; a brother Sam Williams of Pensacola, FL; and a stepbrother Geordie Insko of Lexington, KY. His grandmother Betty Williams of Little Rock, AR, also survives him.
Funeral services were held at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church in Little Rock on April 3 at 2 p.m. A memorial service was also held on April 12 at 2 p.m. at Floris United Methodist Church in Herndon, VA.
George cared about autistic children, so the family asks anyone wishing to make a memorial donation to contribute to the Autism Society of America.

George Williams was a dear friend of mine and of my family. He was an extremely talented and loving individual who cared deeply for his friends and family. He will remain in my thoughts always.Kendra Ceccucci
George and I shared MANY laughs and stories in Art class(for a few years):) I remember him best for having a kind heart and great spirit!!!
