ERICA LYNN BREEDEN (Age 25)
June 26, 1987 - September 26, 2012
Erica Lynn Breeden of Leesburg passed away on September 26, 2012. Erica was born in Falls Church Virginia on June 26, 1987 with a zest for life. She was a figure in perpetual motion. If you competed with Erica on a soccer field or a basketball court you had better keep your eye on her because she was always going to be in your face. Her competitive spirit was matched only by her fear of losing. That made for a formidable opponent in everything she did. Erica enjoyed doing everything at twice the normal speed from maxing out a Jet Ski throttle to racing down the soccer field at 90 miles an hour with her hair on fire. Erica also had a soft side that was as big as all outdoors. She never met a dog in a shelter that she didn't want to adopt and while she could be hard as nails on the playing field she would melt when she saw a homeless person on the street. Erica faced many challenges in her short life and in the end lost out in her 1 year battle with Lyme Disease and the debilitating effect of her treatments. During her struggle she was supported by a large and loving family and is survived by her parents Lorraine and Bruce DeNormandie of Ashburn VA, her sister, brother-in-law, and nephew Ashleigh, Joseph Miller, Sr. and Joseph Miller, Jr. of Aldie, VA, her brother, sister-in-law, and nephew, Justin , Jyoti, and Kavin DeNormandie of Abuji, Nigeria, her sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew, Jaclyn, Mike, Elena, and Logan Navarro of Aldie, VA and her sister, brother-in-law and two nieces Jenny , Chad, Reese and Regan Van Horn of Broadlands VA. Erica is also survived by her Grandfather, Joseph Chapman of Fairfax, her grandmother Carol McLain, her aunts, Karen McLain, Teri McLain, Jessica McLain, Michelle Chapman and Doreen DeNormandie. Her uncles, James McLain, Jr, David McLain and Timothy Burke. Her great aunts Arlene Drouin, Joyce Murphy, Diane Alderton, Noemi Alderton, and her great uncle Bob Alderton, many cousins, second and third cousins.
