Services held for Everett M. Klaes ------- Everett M. Klaes, age 30, was killed July 11, at his farm in rural Shevlin, Minnesota as a result of a farm accident. Everett Klaes was born on May 13, 1945 to parents Matthew and Sybil Klaes in Riceville, Iowa. He grew up in the Riceville Iowa Area and graduated from high school there in 1963. He spent two years in Austin, Minnesota where he attended Vocational School. On February 6, 1965 he was united in marriage to Marlene Bath in Goodhue, Minnesota. After their marriage they moved to California where they lived for a time before moving to Shevlin, Minnesota where they had farmed for the last 3 years. Survivors include his wife Marlene and two children, Scott and Wendy all of Shevlin; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Klaes of Riceville, Ia.; three brothers, Marvin of California, Roger who is presently serving in the Air Force in Michigan, and Frank also of California; one sister (Barbara) Mrs. Bill Martin of Riceville, Iowa. Funeral services were held at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Shevlin on Monday, July 14, 1975 with the Father Wm. F. Lemen officiating. Interment was made at the Our Lady of Victory Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home of Bagley, Minnesota.
