We just received word this afternoon (Sept 17th) that one of our classmates, Jerry Gant, died this afternoon following a long battle with cancer. Jerry and his wife, Karen, were already making plans to join us for our 50th reunion next June. He will definitely be missed. As soon as we have more details, I will post them to this page.
Jerry served his country in the Marines during the Viet Nam conflict.

Jerry Gant was always a true, loyal friend to me and many others. If someone needed a ride, Jerry was there. When I had trouble putting brakes on my car Jerry simply would say, " I'll be right over, it's not a problem. Jerry could fix anything on any car back then. It was but one of the ways he loved serving others.
The general attitude of Jerry Gant was, "Can Do". He was always ready to help a friend, often when it meant sacrificing his own personal agenda.
Those of us who knew Jerry will miss him greatly, but remember him with fond memories.
