Thanks to the research done by our fellow classmate, Ralph Norman, we have the following information on the death of classmate, Melba Goss:

Melba Virginia Goss (Armstrong) February 4th, 1944-September 29th, 1994

Melba Goss Armstrong, 50, of Dallas, Texas, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 1994 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Armstrong was born in Texarkana, Texas and had lived most of her life in Dallas. She was retired from JC Penney and was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Myrl Goss of Dallas; one sister, Marian Newberry (RHS-Class of 1960) of Trinidad, TX; one nephew, Andrew George of Garland; one niece, Donna Gardner of Cedar Hill; and four great-nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
