Carol Groves (Summers)

I received this information from our "official" class researcher, Ralph Norman:

Sadly, another of our classmates has passed. Carol Groves (Summers)-born May 4th, 1944 in New Orleans, LA-passed away January 17th, 2015 in Dallas, TX as a result of Alzheimer's disease. Services were held on January 20th, and she was interred at Big Springs Cemetery In Richardson. Carol was predeceased by her father, Mart S.Groves; mother, Ellen Groves; and, brother, Mart R. Groves (RHS 1956). She is survived by two daughters, Karen Henderson and Sherry Morelli; a step-son, Ron Allard; four grandchildren; and, three great-grandchildren. Carol graduated from Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX and became a psychiatric nurse-a profession in which she was involved for thirty-five years. After retirement from nursing, she traveled to several European countries as a missionary through her church affiliation. Her hobbies were reading and performing as a clown at social events.

This information was furnished, in part, by Carol's daughter, Karen Henderson of Weatherford, Tx and through public records.

Thanks Ralph for your unselfish dedication to our class archives.

I'm so sorry to hear of Carol's passing.  I didn't know her well in school but I do remember she was a lovely person.  Peace to her surviving family members.  Nancy Toioley Young

Carol was a really sweet girl that I knew casually and remember her as always smiling.  So befitting of her to be a clown sometimes.  Rest in Peace Carol.
