The following death notice appeared in the February 28th, 1998 Austin American-Statesman:
Perreault, Charles Arnold "Chuck", 53, of Austin died February 21. Services 2p.m. Sunday, Brown Cemetery.Arrangements:Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home

Chuck was survived by eight children-Brandy, Patrick, Frances, Charles, Michael, Sonja, Julie, and Joseph. He was predeceased by Charles Arnold Perreault III. Chuck was married and divorced three times from 1963-1993.

Following graduation from Richardson High School, Chuck attended St. Edwards University in Austin. At the time of his death, he was employed as an engineer for an electronics manufacturing company in Matamoros Mexico.

Sadly,Chuck was a homicide victim. Two newspaper articles relating to his homicide were published in the Brownsville Herald. These articles can be viewed in their entirety on Google by keying in Feb/24 American charged in Matamoros murder, perreault and Feb/25 New York police want jailed

Chuck's son, David, said that his father often spoke affectionately of his Richardson High School experience-great classmates and teachers as well as the activities in which he was involved.

Chuck's murderer - who was using an alias at the time - was extradited to New York to stand trial for a previously committed murder. The result:

He is currently serving a life sentence in the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York. He will be eligible for parole on 22 January 2032.
