There is not enough room here to even start with my memories of Richfield High School. Good, Bad, Hilarious, even Ugly. However, of all the memories that shaped my life, one might think State Championship Football or Basketball games would be at the top of that list. Blood, sweat, and tears laid on the Grass or Hardwood with the best of friends taught me the discipline, teamwork, and courage that it takes to get through life's toughest challenges. Oh, these were the glory days of competition, letterman's jackets, Cheerleaders, and arrogant struts with untied hightops wrapped around rolled and pegged pants. Yah! we owned that town, the class of 89. But of all the amazing memories, the simplest of actions at a difficult time in my life, and one that I will remember as a turning point that guided me in the direction I now find myself, has to this day gone in anonymity to me. A simple note on a thin strip of paper mailed to my home. It read something like this: "We don't know exactly what's up in your life right now, but you're not the same Clint we know, and frankly, we like the old Clint better." I know it sounds silly, but it changed my life for the better. And I often remember it. So, to the person(s) that were responsible, Thank you! And twenty some odd years later I'd still like to thank you personally if you even remember and are willing to step forward. The rest will have to wait for the reunion when there is more time. Can't wait to see you all!
