PATRICIA ANDERSON OBITUARY

ANDERSON, Patricia, 68, of Richmond, Va., went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2022. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 37 years, Dr. Terry P. Anderson; parents, John and Lucille Isbell; grandmother, Lee Isbell. She is survived by her children, Scott Anderson (Chelsea) and Bethany Anderson; grandchildren, Noah, Josiah and Lyla; and her granddog, Griffin. Patti retired after many years as a teacher and reading specialist for Chesterfield County Schools, where she touched many lives and hearts with her compassion and patience. She was a devout member of Bon Air Baptist Church, and served in many capacities there, especially in the nursery. What she cherished most in life was her family, and being a daughter, mother and grandmother. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., October 21, at Bliley's, 8510 Staples Mill Road. A celebration of her life will take place 11 a.m. October 22, at Bon Air Baptist Church, 2531 Buford Road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bon Air Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society. See blileys.com for condolences.

Patti was my best friend since 7th grade at Brookland Junior High School.
We have been through college, marriages, babies, good times and not so good times together. She was a fun, strong, determined woman. More importantly, she was a wonderful example of a dedicated sister in Christ.
I was blessed to call her my best friend.

I, too, have known Patti since middle school.  We were good friends in high school and were in each other's wedding in our 20s and have kept in touch over the years.  I just got home from her Celebration of Life/Memorial Service and it exemplified her faith and love for Christ.  Gayle Turpin Heese spoke at the service and I know it will be hard on her losing Patti.  They have been best friends for 56 years.
