STUART, Timothy S. "Tim," 65, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord after a long illness Friday, October 26, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Jean Stuart; and is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debbie Stuart; two daughters, Amanda Stuart and Erin Young (Sean); four granddaughters, Paige and Ashtyn Young and Camilla and Grace Stuart; sister, Kimberly Moncure (Terry); and two nieces, Carrie and Caitie. Tim enjoyed his 36 years of service with Sears and, most recently, his seven years with Home Depot in Mechanicsville. He loved time spent at the river with his daughters, and most especially, time spent with his granddaughters. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. A celebration of Tim's life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2018, at New Song UMC, 7450 Colts Neck Rd. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.

I am truly saddened by the passing of yet another one from the great class of 1972.  I can remember Timmy from sports and other pranks played back in the day.  Tim Stuart along with Homer Powell and I would scream out in the hallways just to disrupt classes on the second floor before running down the steps....Good ole days....Timmy rest in peace and thanks for not telling on me to Mrs. Kelly....
