Eddy, as he was commonly known by his friends, achieved a B.S. Degree in Accounting, at VCU, including post graduate education at University of Richmond. He became a career state employee and worked in the Dept. of Criminal Justice Services and with many law enforcement and intelligence services. He then served with the Dept. of Labor and Industry primarily as the Chief Deputy, and twice as Commissioner, and Acting Commissioner. He had a sense of humor that would not quit and strong faith and principles. When he retired, after 40 years, he received two exceptional letters for unqualified audits during those 40 years. He was also responsible for creating what became the Financial Accounting System technology for the State of VA.
He was a lifelong Seventh-day Adventist Christian, committed to sharing the gospel of Christ, living by the golden rule, truly loving his neighbor and loving God and keeping His commandments. He was originally a member of the Patterson Avenue S. D.A. Church and for the past 12 years a member of the Wytheville S.D.A. Church. He was an ordained elder and faithful in church service, tithes, and offerings. He was active in the ministries of the Highway for the Remnant and Your Firm Foundation. His wife, family, friends, and all who knew him will sorely miss him. He was and is always our beloved. We look forward to the glorious second Coming of Jesus Christ when we will see Eddy again on Resurrection Day, the Blessed Hope.
