Richard Smallwood Humphries, Jr., 75, died on October 29, 2022. A native of Richmond, he was the son of the late Richard S. Humphries and Doris Elizabeth King. Richard was an independent home improvement sales representative.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Overton Humphries; two sons, Richard S. Humphries III and William Brian Humphries; three sisters, Mary Proffitt, Ann O’Neil and Ruth Francine Humphries; and granddaughter, Alexis Corinne Humphries.

A funeral service was held on Monday, Nov. 7, at 11 AM at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
