Tom passed away on April 30, 2016. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and obtained the rank of staff sergeant. He was an artist and reader who focused on religious and historical treatises, a writer and reader of poetry, and an avid bird enthusiast. Tom is buried in Crewe Cemetery, Crewe, Virginia.

Tommy was in my 7th grade class at Brookland Junior High with Mrs. Seaman and Mrs. Scott. He was a very gentle guy who loved to talk about his pigeons. In fact, classmates often called him Pige.
