Roy Bradley Steinmann of Mechanicsville, VA, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2024, at the age of 77 after waiting "just one more day." He was preceded in death by his wife, Diana Haboush Steinmann; father, James Ernest Steinmann; mother, Ruth Kelley Steinmann; and brother, James Ernest Steinmann Jr. He is survived by daughters, Lisa Steinmann George (Mike), Renee Michelle Steinmann, Andrea (Tina) Steinmann Snow (Shane); son, Roy (Brad) Bradley Steinmann, Jr. (Amy); sisters, Sonya Bondurant Blommel and Carole Steinmann Shepherd; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, longtime friends, and a big yard to cut and weed eat.

Born and raised in Richmond, VA, Roy was an avid fisherman despite never learning to swim. Guests were welcome to join him on fishing trips as long as they remained completely quiet. Roy enjoyed working with his hands, spending many years running his own business before serving as manager and retiring from Pleasants Hardware. Roy was also a loving father and talented cook. While both his dishes and personality were known to be salty at times, he was larger than life to all who knew him well and will be greatly missed.
