Evelyn, I received your invitation to the Burroughs class reunion. John was killed in a car accident on January 27 of this year.
We were " home" to Ridgcrest for a few days the weekend before his death and we both really enjoyed being back to the desert.
John had been in Canada since 1974 and we married in 1976 and have 6 wonderful Smith sons.

I remember John as a very nice, happy guy! I am so sorry for his family's loss.
I remember the ribbing John took when he first showed up with that little VW bug. He shrugged it off and told us to get in. He drove that little thing like is was a little tank. Nearly everywhere we went John had his foot to the floor. Thank goodness it was a VW bug and we never really went too fast. He was a big part of that little group of Russ Halgren, Steve Rehder and when they let me, me, Dolye Claxton. Of course, John was involved in several little groups. God Bless you. He may have had ADHD before we knew what it was. SIX boys, I never would have thought it.
