Former Ridgecrest, CA resident Gary Lee Belvin, 64, passed away 3 May 2013 in Norman, OK, following a long struggle with heart disease and strokes. Gary was born 22 Sep 1948 in Delano, CA to Eulys and Lois Belvin. He grew up in Ridgecrest and graduated from Burroughs High School in 1966. He went on to earn an Associate of
Arts degree from Bakersfield Junior College and also attended the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma at Chickasha.
Gary was a businessman and over the years ran many stores including the Arco gas station (later the AM/PM mini-mart) in Ridgecrest, a Pizza Inn, a Love's mini-mart and others.
