Randy Lee Robertson, 29, was born Nov. 9, 1980, in Martinsville to Mary Jo Williams Robertson of Martinsville and Gerald Lee Robertson. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Luther James and Susie Morris Robertson; maternal grandfather, Roy Thomas Williams; and step-maternal grandfather, Carnice Thurman.

He graduated from Magna Vista High School and had worked as an auto mechanic for several dealers in the Martinsville area.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two sons, Rylon Lee Robertson and Baylon James Robertson, both of Eden, N.C.; a brother, Gerald Wayne Robertson of Martinsville; his maternal grandmother Beatrice “Bea” Thurman of Martinsville; and two nieces.
