Jim, Chuck, June and Jack, Robin would be happy we folks are still around to warmly remember him and our Glen Rock roots.
Robin was my best friend during our Glen Rock Junior High years. We'd hop on our bikes after school and head to the village where we each had big plates of French fries and loads of ketchup. Ah youth. Decades before the Health Food movement. While I was with my grandparents for parts of the summer at Fort Cassin Point in Ferrisburgh (Vermont), just down the lake (Champlain), Robin got a summer job at Owl's Head Harbor, washing pots like I got to do at Basin Harbor Club.I adored his mom Sally. She was highly literate , keen and a great sense of humor: a supportive adult in my life. Robin's dad was stern, Sally the opposite. I will forever cherish our close friendship those formative years, and of course send my warmest regards to his family over their loss.
John and I became great friends last years at RHS. We did two road trips checking out colleges, Hamilton, Colgate, maybe St Lawrence. Mostly I remember his positive attitude. It was upbeat being together. Sorry I didn't know John had a place in Vermont where I've lived forever; a reunion would have been special. My very best to his loving family. Rich

Bonnie Lee was my first girlfriend, junior high in Glen Rock. She joined me at my grandparents' place on Lake Champlain in Vermont one summer week. Such a good sport, I'll forever remember her playing softball because she's starred in one of our first family home movies. Cheerful and upbeat Bonnie Lee. Healing thoughts to her family in their loss.
Linda and I were connected by our dads who worked at New York Life. She could be a rascal, but compared to my brown nose, most kids were very spirited. My parents remained very close to hers, and that was true for Linda and me too. She was a bright light in my Glen Rock youth. I know from a reunion she was proud of her own family, and I wish for them peace in their loss.
Gail was my first girlfriend. In sixth grade we went to the movies in town and I dared to reach for and hold her hand. But man was I and my hand sweating! She held firmly on, the both of nervous as all get out. Ah the innocence, the Eisenhower years. Gail and I had in common our parents who were best friends. The bar in the rumpus room was sure rocking in those days. Farewell to a gracious soul.
Ginny, I am wishing for you peace along with your sorrow as you navigate your loss. We are all so grateful for your loving care of our class. Richard
Yes it was sad to learn of George's passing. Glen Rock was such a small town, and we were all so connected. It was wonderful to just see the names of Gordon Stanley, Bob Buckalew, June Whelan here...such warm memories of our youth I have with each of our classmates. Wishing you all well as we venture on into our 80s. Richard
