If anyone from the Edwards family, reads. I want you to know I think of him all of the time. Tall, lanky and the biggest smile. I know that smile is from ear to ear with his daddy now. Just know that he is not forgotten. Keep the memories alive for Billy & Mr. Slim. From one sibling to another, the mourning never ends.
I think of Billy often, especially when driving past his old house. He was such a sweet guy. The loss of his friendship was very hard on our class. This was one of the first times we had to deal with loss in this way.
My memories of Billy are just as vivid today as ever. He would sit behind me in Mr. Mayfield's class and tell me jokes (that his brother had told him). He also sang songs in my ear... "Its just another Manic Monday"-- one of our favorite songs for Monday. I remember he came in Mrs. Sams class one day singing, "I want to be your cowboy and you could be my cowgirl!" He was always laughing, joking and smiling. I still miss his smile.
i actually went to his gravesite just a couple of weeks ago while i was in town.yeh,i remember how the entire school just about shut down the day after it happened.we were all seriously affected by it. i still remember jumping my fence to his yard and playing Trivial Pursuit at his house until the wee hours of the morning.also remember talking to him in p.e. the day he died.so tragic...
