I knew Janesse since 2nd Grade, if not earlier. We went to Our Lady of Perpetual Help together and our parents were friends. Janesse was a great friend. I have missed her over the years.
I was so sad to hear about Janesse. I miss her terribly. One of my favorite memories of Janesse was when we were on our way to an out of town swim meet and got in trouble because we cranked up the boom box at the back of the bus and were shouting the lyrics to "Brass Monkey" by the Beastie Boys.
We used to go to the cafeteria after swim practice and get egg muffin sandwiches and plot out ways to get out of practice the next morning. Ofcourse, coach would always push us in the pool and make us get busy anyway, but I think it was the planning and the plotting that was the fun part.
I believe she died in a motorcycle accident. If my memory serves, she was riding with Kenny Collier when a car pulled out in front of them. He survived, but was seriously injured. I was working at Sears when I heard about it. I was pretty good friends with Kenny and his brother Jason.
