Karen Marie Hughes died of cancer.  Born in Omaha, Nebraska, she resided in Riverside 45 years.  She was a nurse's assistant at Riverside General Hospital for 28 years.  She graduated from Ramona High School.

Miss Hughes was a parishioner of the Queen of angels Catholic Church in Riverside.
