Heywood was one of the 1st kids I met when I moved to Palm Beach County in December of 1960. He was in my 5th Grade class at Riviera Beach Elem. I will always remember Heywood clowning around in class and usually getting to sit in the "Dunce" corner for a portion of everyday, and also managed to get the teacher, Mr. Cruckshank's wooden paddle applied to his back pockets daily. At least once a week Heywood came to school with money in his pocket to treat the class to 'desert' at lunch which was often ice cream or an orge or lime popsicle. Rest in Eternal Peace my friend.
