Francisco "Kaky" Tabernilla61 years old, of Lake Worth, FL, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 23, 2013. He is survived by his son, Frankie Tabernilla of West Palm Beach; his daughter, Anna Virginia Tabernilla, also of West Palm Beach; his mother, Olga Tabernilla of Lake Worth; and his sister, Olguita Tabernilla Baum (Harvey) of Red Bank, NJ. Also surviving is his aunt and uncles, Francisco "Silito" Tabernilla and his wife, Hilda and Marcelo "Tony" Tabernilla; his nieces and nephews, Cristina, Daniel, Carla, and Carlos; grand nieces and nephew, Sofia, Lily and Luke; and his cousins, Martica, Malu, Panchi, Coe, and Maite and his sister-in-law, Maria Tabernilla of Wellington, FL. He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos M. Tabernilla in 2009 and his brother, Carlos V. Tabernilla in 2010.The Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, June 28, 2013 at St. Juliana Catholic Church, West Palm Beach, with interment to follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, West Palm Beach. I am so sad to hear this news. If I remember correctly I think I first met Frank in Elementary School. I remember him telling the stories of how his family left Cuba at lthe time Castro was taking over. I was looking forward to seeing him at the 2014 reunion as well as so many others.
