Joe was one of my best friends. I remember him in Mr. Spahn's 5th grade class when he first moved into the area. he had a magic trick where he made it look like he made one of his fingers disappear. He lost a finger some years prior in an accident and used it as a source of fun.
We also planned great basketball strategies for recreation that never worked out since we were both such lousy players, but had funning trying to figure out how to beat Jeater, Rhine, and others.
I really liked Joe and was looking forward to seeing him. We had American History together and the teacher was a Baptist minister (can't remember his name). One class he said all Jews were going to hell and Joe said Jews don't believe in hell, and just smiled at him. I will never forget his bravery. So sad he is gone, I hope he had a good life.
Who would ever guess growing up in such a wonderful area that my brother Joe Moskowitz would be murdered. Joe went missing in April 1994 and was found two weeks later in a shallow grave by County Line Rd in Tequesta. It has been 16 years and his case is still unsolved but active with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Someone knows something and sooner or later it will be solved and justice will be served. Joe left behind two children. Any information leading to the arrest has a $25,000. reward. This is my life mission as I know my brother Joe would do the same for me.
