I married and moved to Covington almost 14 years ago. It was quite an adjustment from Roanoke, but it has been a wonderful place to raise my awesome daughter. I was fortunate enough to stumble into a newly created hospital conversion foundation when Columbia HCA bought the non profit Alleghany Regional. I worked administratively for 11 years and in 2006 was named Executive Director. It is a part-time position that allows me to make a huge impact in this rural, economically depressed area while allowing time for me to be a mother too.
