Jackie Meredith (Meador)

Jackie Meredith Meador, 45, of Roanoke, Va., passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010. Jackie was predeceased by her brother, Jay Meredith; paternal grandparents, Buck and Lennie Meredith; maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Barbara Wertz. Jackie is survived by her daughter, Kara McKenzie Meador; and her son, Alan Michael Meador; parents, David and Martha Meredith; sister and brother-in-law, Jill and Sam Vincent, of Salisbury, Md.; former husband, Bill Meador, of Landis, N.C. Jackie was a 1983 graduate of Cave Spring High School and was an avid animal lover. She is also survived by her beloved dogs, Baby, Hank, Annie and Barnie, and her beloved cat, Sarah. Jackie is survived by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Arrangements are by Oakey's South Chapel. Memorial service to celebrate Jackie's life will be held at Rosalind Hills Baptist Church, Saturday, February 20, 2010, at 11 a.m. conducted by the Rev. Brad Smith, followed by a luncheon to honor Jackie in the Fellowship Hall there at Rosalind Hills Baptist Church. The family wishes to express gratitude to the Cave Spring Rescue Squad for their quick response and to the caring staff of Lewis Gale Emergency Room and Medical Intensive Care Unit. In lieu of flowers, please consider a love contribution to Angels of Assisi, 415 Campbell Ave., Roanoke, Va. 24011 or a charity of your choice. "When you remember me, it means that you have carried something of who I am with you-that I have left some mark of who I am on who you are. It means that even after I die, you can still see my face and hear my voice and speak to me in your heart. For as long as you remember me, I am never entirely lost."

We will miss her very much.. I have always thought of Jackie through out my years, and I reflect of the fond memories we all had.. I wish for her peace, and my hope is that her children and her parents, Jill and the entire family will be able to heal.. her legacy lives out in her kids.. and Jackie can be with her big brother now..

I will always love you Jackie....
