Reunion Blues

I hate that the attendance to the reunion is slow low but I have to admit that I have not sent my money in either. Honestly, $90 for hotel food and to see your classmates get drunk and revel over the "ole times", for a non-drinker, is hardly worth $90. I am sorry if I sound slef-righteous or too square but in these tough economic times this is my reality.

On a more positive note; what if we had a family event on Saturday. If there are not enough people willing or able to pay the $90, maybe more people would be willing to participate in a low cost event. We could have a cook out like we did at the 10 year reunion which was a very well attended event.

Any thought?

I think we may want to consider cancelling the party Saturday night, and instead make arrangements to meet up somewhere downtown.  Friday night everyone could still attend the football game.  Saturday afternoon there could be a family friendly cookout for those interested, and everyone could link up downtown Saturday night somewhere.  I can't commit 100% to being there because I may have to travel for work.  I'm sure that others cannot commit until the last minute either.

Good idea Ray. I too have a difficult travel schedule and my plans may be made at the last minute. Downtown could be good.
