Deborah "Debbie" Lynn (Meadows) Austin
Deborah “Debbie” Lynn Meadows Austin, age 63 of Cave Spring, went home to be with her Lord Friday, January 15, 2021 following a long illness.

Debbie was born in Cumberland, Maryland December 20, 1957 and lived in the Roanoke Valley most of her life. She was a 1976 graduate of Northside High School and a 1981 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. Debbie worked for 31 years at First Virginia Bank/BBT, retiring in 2018, and was a member of Light House Baptist Church in New Castle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel M. Austin; mother, Ruby J. Meadows; and cherished sister, Cheryl A. Meadows. Debbie is survived by her father James A. Meadows and step-mother Dorinda K. Meadows of Paw Paw, West Virginia; aunts: Betty Kenney of Levels, West Virginia, and Jackie Queens of Points, West Virginia; plus a loving Whitacre family unit in Paw Paw, West Virginia. She extends a special thank you to Laura Belle Whitacre for her faithful uplifting card every week; and many loving cousins.

A celebration of Debbie’s life will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 21 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville with Ben Peyton officiating. A private burial will be at Trinity Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
