Russell Terry Dickerson, 59, of Madison, died Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Russell was born May 20, 1957, in Chicago, Il, to the late Melvin Lewis Dickerson and Pauline Noblin Atkins Dickerson. He was a United States Air Force veteran, a sports fanatic, NASCAR fan, and loved golf and watching TV westerns.Survivors include his wife, Carmen Anne Lockard Dickerson; son, Quintin Dickerson; daughter, Carly Dickerson and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Eleanor Bishop.A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Colonial Funeral Home and Chapel, Inc., 127 Ellisboro Road, Madison, NC 27025. Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
