
James Cade Hollett, 58, of Daleville, Va., claimed the promise of the Resurrection on Sunday, January 23, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Cade Hollett; sister, Linda Marie Hollett; and a brother, Donald Eugene Hollett. Jim was a 1970 graduate of Northside High School a member and Trustee at Southview United Methodist Church and a longtime employee of E & W Machine in Salem. He was an honorary member of the Hollins Rescue Squad, served as a Trustee of Old Tombstone Cemetery, and was an active member of the Cardinal Virginians Family Motor Coach Association. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Sarah Wright Hollett; loving children, Emily Hollett Pitts and husband, Lewie, Angela Hollett Traynham and husband, Chris, and James Brian Hollett; grandchildren, Lola Kathryn Hollett, Zoe Grace Pitts, and Cade Leon Traynham; mother, Dorothy Marie Mason Hollett; and a sister-in-law, Norma Smith Hollett. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the National Kidney Foundation or to the American Cancer Society. A celebration of Jim's life will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at Southview United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Edmonds officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
