Alan Lynn Tarter, 37, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 1997. He was the beloved son of George E. and Della Tarter, Roanoke. 

A graduate of Northside High School, he will be sadly missed by all. 

Surviving include his daughters, Sara Kate Tarter and Amanda Sue Tarter and their mother, Mary T. Lawson all of Roanoke; his sisters and their families, Sherry Smith and her daughters, Chasity Marie Smith and Chelsey Marie Smith and son, Paul Hunter Delp all of Roanoke, Karen Dollarhite and her husband, Gerald and their daughter, Laura Anne Dollarhite and son, Matt Hunter Dollarhite all of Copper Hill. 

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 9, 1997 from Oakey's North Chapel with Pastor Jim Rivers officiating. Interment services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Rural Retreat. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's North Chapel.
