Margaret Amy Crotts Boone, 53, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday,November 24, 2014.She was born August 27, 1961, in Roanoke, Va. to Ray and Cecelia Crotts. She graduated from Hollins University in 1983. Amy was an Algebra teacher at Immaculata Catholic School in Durham for eight years and an Algebra and Science teacher at St. Raphaels in Raleigh for one year. She was also a long time member of the parish at Immaculate Conception in Durham.She is survived by her loving husband, Steven Boone; her three children, Maggy, William, and Emily Boone; her mother, Cecilia and father, Ray Crotts; her brother, Mark Crotts and wife, Donna; and son, Daniel; and her brother, Andrew Crotts and wife,Gwen; and two children, Sarah and Mark Crotts.In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Duke Cancer Center at http://dukecancerfund.org/get-involved/.A Funeral Mass will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2014at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
