Kathy Fisher Lisle, 62, of Roanoke passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 19, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle K. and Ada C. Fisher.Kathy was a graduate of Northside High School and Radford College. She retired as a special education teacher with the Roanoke County School System. She was a member of Melrose Baptist Church.Surviving are her husband of 41 years, James R. Lisle; children, Jeremy Lisle and wife Denise; Kara Battel and husband Chris; Jaime Lisle; Kelsey Higginbotham and husband Joseph; Jarron Lisle; grandchildren, Taylor Lisle, Ella and Fisher Battel, Jase Lisle, Zoiee Williams, Sayler Lisle, Katelyn Higginbotham, Elsey Battle, Jax Lisle, Adelia Higginbotham, Tucker and Rieley Lisle; brother, David Fisher and wife Debbie.In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Special Olympics, 1100 S. Main Street, Blacksburg, Va., 24060.The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff at Roanoke's Carvin's Cove and the staff at Woodhaven Nursing Home for their many acts of kindness and support.A celebration of Kathy's life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at Melrose Baptist Church with the Rev.
