Linda Jarrett (Murray) - Class Of 1971 VIEW PROFILE

Linda Jarrett Murray, 59, of Bedford, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013. Born March 15, 1953; she was a daughter of the late Charlotte Emerson and widow of Edward Murray. Linda loved Ed with a passion and talked about him as if he were still here with her. Linda had varied interest and hobbies including, hot air ballooning, horseback riding, traveling, music, and playing her piano. She had a strong desire for helping dialysis patients. She was a nephrology nurse and taught patients how to handle their dialysis at home. Having been diagnosed as a diabetic at the age of 16, Linda was a strong advocate for diabetes education, research and support. Linda loved her church and bible study group at Barnhardt Baptist Church in Goodview. Linda was passionate about many things in her life; one of which was her love of dogs. She was a member of the Roanoke Kennel Club and she considered her Weimaraner “Rufus� her best buddy. Surviving Linda are two cousins; Carol Sue Miller Acres of Lynchburg and Linda “Lou� Jesse of Lexington; and an aunt, Barbara Newman and her husband, Walter. A graveside service will be conducted 1 pm, Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem with Rev. Joseph Peters officiating.
