Daniel Joseph Hunter

Daniel Joseph Hunter, 69, of Salem, Virginia, passed away on May 18, 2023, of natural causes.

Dan was born on January 5, 1954, and loved by his parents, Robert L. and Angeline S. Hunter. After Dan graduated from Northside High School in 1972, he joined the workforce with various jobs until he settled at Kroger for over 35 years. Dan retired in 2019 where he began enjoying the quiet life.

Dan was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his children, Adam and Amber Hunter; grandchildren, Michael Hunter and Jacob Hunley; brother, Jon Revers; and sister, Jamie Simmer, and wife, Liliana Reyes-Vargas.

Services will be held at Lotz Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salem on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 2 p.m. with visitation immediately following.
