Marion Errold "Buffy" Lyon, Jr. 

1954 - 2024

Buffy Lyon, age 70, of Roanoke, died on Thursday, December 27, 2024, of complications from metastatic colon cancer. 

He was born in Roanoke on January 20, 1954, to Carrye Cryan Lyon and Marion Errold Lyon, both of whom preceded him in death. 

Buffy worked as a computer programmer from the time he graduated from Northside High School in 1972 until his retirement from Carilion Clinic in 2022. 

He is survived by his wife and partner of 42 years, Janeson Keeley; his brother Howard Lyon (Amy) of Roanoke; nieces Stephanie Werszner (Brian) of Colorado Springs, Heather Duvall of San Diego, Ally Lim (Jason) and great-niece Saylor Lim of Moneta; and, his very special tortie-tabby cat, Annie.
