Michael Stephen "Michael J." Abbott, 58, of Roanoke, Va., passed away peacefully Sunday, March 28, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther B. and Mary Wright Abbott. Surviving are his daughters, Cheyanne Cheree Abbott, Julianna Michelle Abbott, and Lucretia Jarels Xeno; sister, Carole A. Perry (Sid), of Greensboro; brothers, Daniel (Danny) W. Abbott, of Roanoke, Duane A. Abbott (Marti) of Greensboro; nieces and nephews, Brooks and Camile Abbott, Steve and Erin Perry and their children, Jordan and Sidney; Allison and Todd Hill and their children, Ethan and Katie; and many loving and devoted friends. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, by Dr. Jeff Scott. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
