Harold Holdren - Class Of 1978 VIEW PROFILE

Harold Eugene Holdren, Jr., 49, of Narrows departed this life Sunday evening January 31, 2010 at UVA Hospital in Charlottesville after a long and hard-fought illness. Born in Roanoke on July 3, 1960 he was a son of Harold Eugene, Jr. and Joyce DeLong Holdren of Roanoke. Eugene had worked a trucker and with the family business Cox Landscaping and Decorative Concrete. He was a beloved member of Bethel Chapel Church in Clendennin. An infant sister, Cheryl Holdren preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents; his beloved and devoted wife of nineteen years Laura Cox Holdren; his son Joshua L. Holdren of the home; his daughters Maggie M. Holdren of the home and Crystal R. Holdren of Roanoke; his granddaughter Deseree Holdren; his sisters Jennifer Barger of Atlanta, GA and Betty Jo Harnsberger of Roanoke; his mother-in-law Margaret Ellison of Narrows; his special brother and sister-in-law David and Alison Cox of Narrows; and his special friend Steve Mills.
 

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM at Bethel Chapel Church in Clendennin with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends at the church form 12 until 2 PM at the church before the services. The Holdren Family is being served by the Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke
