Frank joined his Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 15, 2008, after a bravely fought battle with cancer. He joined has earthly father, John H. Kidd. Frank was a quiet, soft-spoken man who enjoyed serving others. He is survived by his mother, Alda Kidd. He is loved and will be missed by his wife, Ardy; stepchildren, Martin (Natalie) and Matt Kessler; sister, Susie (Kenneth) Kingery; brother, John (Debi) Kidd; sister, Jenny Kidd; his nephews, John (Kristin) and Jason Kidd, Ted (Krista) Linkous, John and Matthew Kingery. The family wishes to thank those who helped treat and care for Frank at the Blue Ridge Cancer Center and at Carilion Hospice Services. Donations in Frank's memory may be made to St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 1201 Hardy Road, Vinton, Va. 24179 or to the Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 11525, Roanoke, Va. 24022-1525. Visitation with family will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Remembrance and Thanksgiving for Frank's life will be Tuesday at 10 a.m., both at Oakey's North Chapel.
