Donna Waid Breedlove, 70, of Roanoke, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 after courageously battling many health issues.  She was born on September 8, 1953 to James and Shirley Morris Waid, and spent her childhood in the Roanoke Valley.

Donna was a self-employed business owner who ran her own cleaning service.  She was outgoing, friendly, loyal and known for her big heart.  Donna loved her family, she often spoiled her son and especially her grandbabies.  She loved being a Grandma and hosting family gatherings and holidays.  Donna looked forward to annual trips to North Myrtle Beach.  She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Michael Breedlove; her son, Steven Waid (and fiancée, Rosangela Rujano); her grandchildren, Kevin Waid and Ashton Waid; great-grandchild, Khamaya Waid; her sister, Carrie Glass (Richard) and their son, Brad Robertson.

The family would like to thank caregivers, Carla Sarver, and the nursing staff at Carilion on the 10 South Palliative Care Unit  and the 6th floor V.I.C.U. unit for the kindness and care they provided to Donna and her family.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Oakey’s North Chapel with Pastor William Cherry officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
