Donald Johnsen rites conducted today

The funeral for Donald D. Johnsen was conducted this morning at Bethel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. John E. Friedli officiating. Burial was in Othello Cemetery near Douglas.

Mr. Johnsen, 37, of 2217 18th St. N.W., died of natural causes Friday (Nov. 12, 1993) at Rochester Methodist Hospital.

He was born Aug. 29, 1956, in Oronoco Township. On June 23, 1985, he married Julie Davitt in Rochester. Mr. Johnsen was a lifelong resident of the Rochester area. He worked at Dayton Hudson Corp. in sales and receiving. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and the Dyslexia Institute of Minnesota.

Survivors include his wife, Julie, a day-care operator; a son, Ted David; his parents, Evangeline and Joseph Johnsen of Oronoco; two sisters, Laura Grandy of Hillrose, Colo., and Kathleen Larsen of Rochester; and two brothers, Harry of Oronoco and Joseph Jr. of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Ranfranz Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Dyslexia Institute of Minnesota
