I was one of many of { Klemmies } good friends. He was one of the North west gang. We had so many good times together in and out of school. We played alot of pool together at the Cue and cushion. Dan was very competitive and we enjoyed playing pool, ping pong, and cards to name a few.
Dan joined the Military after High School and served four years in the U.S. Navy. When Dan returned home after his service in the Navy, he got to enjoy about one year with his freinds and family before his tragic death in a boating accident in wabasha. Dan was employed at Northland Electric co in Rochester at the time of death. Here is a poem Dan wrote at work just a few weeks before his accident.

Life & Death
Death only comes once in one's Lifetime. So live your life to its full capacity, there's so much to do in such little time, but ones's mind and body can encounter anything. Let your imagination soar like the eagle, and let your soul not sink like the depth of the sea. Take on all challenges and show your pride, otherwise suffer and die that terrible death.

Dan was one of those people you meet in life when you say to yourself"Now I wish I could be more like THEM." Dan was a loyal friend,he never seemed to take life or himself to serious. All of our wives were always trying to set him up with the perfect women. He knew then what it took us alot longer to realize that there wasn't one!He was ready to head to Califonia,I believe he put in his notice at work and was to leave the following week when he died.Dan came from a very close family,I lost touch with Chuck and Jim and I never got to know his sisters.I have so many stories about Dan I go on all day, Thanks For The Memories Klemmie
