ORONOCO, MINN: Kevin D. Harms, 39, died May 9, 2009 in Rochester, MN. Kevin was born October 7, 1969 in Rochester, MN to Robert and Marcia (Maloney) Harms. Kevin was active in Boy Scouts and received his Eagle Scout award. He graduated from John Marshall High School 1989. Kevin graduated from North Dakota State University in 1995 with his B.S. in Civil Engineering. He later received his Professional Engineering License. Kevin married Heather J. Bjortomt on August 5, 2000 in Rochester, MN at Zumbro Lutheran Church. He has worked for Olmsted County for the past nine years as the County Highway Maintenance Engineer. He was a member of the Professional Engineer Association and Saint Paul Lutheran Church, Pine Island. He enjoyed woodworking; working on small engines and various kinds of mechanical works.

Kevin is survived by his wife Heather, Oronoco, MN; his two daughters; Makenna and Bridget Harms, Oronoco, MN; two brothers, Timothy (Mary Paul) Harms, Fargo, ND, Michael (Maureen) Harms, St. Paul, MN; a sister, Pamela (James) Hamman, Oshkosh, WI.; his parents, Robert and Marcia Harms of Rochester; and his maternal grandmother Althea Maloney, Detroit Lakes, MN. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Wesley and Ruth Harms, and maternal grandfather Jack Maloney.

A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island, MN. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 from 4-7 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2009 in Oakwood Cemetery East.
