Casey Dehoet

Casey Gil DeHoet, 33, died on Tuesday (May 2, 2006) from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Boone County, Iowa.

Casey was born on Sept. 19, 1972, in Osage to Virgil “Gil” Laverne and Dianna Lynne Wyatt DeHoet. He was currently employed with Manning-Seivert Mechanical Contractors, in Granger, Iowa, as a site foreman. Casey was a member of the Associated Builders and Contractors. He was a journeyman plumber on his way to becoming a master plumber.

Casey was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to go fishing, boating, hunting and golfing. He was also a “rock hound” and diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan. Casey loved spending time with his children and taking them to the movies.

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his son and daughter, Cole Christopher, 9 years of age, and Cayla Marie, 6 years of age, both of Ogden; mother and step-father, Dianna and Delgene Nicolai of Riceville; one brother, Craig DeHoet and his wife, Kellie, and their daughters, Courtney, Taylor, Morgan and Cierra, all of Woodward; one sister, Michelle Rodemeyer and her husband, Eric, and their sons, Cody and Nate, all of Marshalltown; maternal grandparents, Warren and Stella Wyatt also of Riceville; one stepsister, Josie Higley and her husband, Troy, and their children, Sydney and William, all of Zumbrota, Minn.; and one stepbrother, Troy Nicolai and his wife, Kim, of Mankato, Minn.

Casey was preceded in death by his father, Gil DeHoet; one brother, Chris Warren DeHoet; and paternal grandparents, Floyd and Mabel Phares.

casey is agood man and agood friend! lots of memories good ones, which i will not forget. he will be missed.
