Here is Len's biographical sketch from his 1990 doctoral dissertation at Cornell, "Orestes' Matricide in 'The Choephori' and its Significance within Aeschylus' 'Oresteia.'" See also the obituary above. Born in Somerville, New Jersey on March 25, 1948, Leonard Snearowski was graduated from Bridgewater-Raritan High School in 1966. He attended the University of Rochester where he participated in the Honors History Program. He earned an BA with Highest Distinction in 1971. Mr. Snearowski then pursued a MA in Classics at the University of Rochester. He was designated a University Scholar in 1973-1975 and received his degree in 1975. After a period of independent study, Mr. Snearowski entered a Ph.D. program at Cornell University where he was a lecturer in Classics in 1979. During the writing of his Dissertation, Mr. Snearowski began teaching at Raritan Valley College in Somerville N.J.
